How to Survive your First Camping Trip

By Cristina Radu

I believed that it will be the best experience of that summer! It wasn’t, but it could be yours!

Besides the fact that when it rains, the tent moistens inside, besides the fact that you don’t have enough space because of your luggage, even during the day you can’t stay in the tent, because it’s too warm!

Here is a list of tips you need to know to make your camping easier. You don’t have to be an expert, but the more you know, the more enjoyable your trip will be.

-If you rent a tent or borrow one, and you do not know what qualities it has(especially how resistant is the tent to rain), put into your luggage a tarpaulin. You can put it on top of the tent when the rain comes(trust me, it will save your health and mood)!

Sleeping Bag!

– If you can buy a very thick sleeping bag, buy it! Will certainly be the second savior of your health and mood!

Thick Clothes and a Raincoat!

– And what is the problem if we are in the middle of the summer? Does it mean it can not be cold? Therefore, you need at least one pair of long pants and a hoodie in your luggage.

– A little bit of everything.

Extension Cord!

-Why? Because you don’t always have to keep your eyes on the electrical outlet that is 10 meters away from you to make sure you will not remain without chargers and phones. Please, take a very long extension cord, with many plugs.

*optional, if you have a big tent and if you don’t want to spend your money on restaurants every day, all you need is a mini stove. Who knows, maybe you’ll open a mini restaurant in your tent.
