The train was at 11:45 p.m. so I woke up at 10 a.m. I had everything planned in my mind. I just had to make it come true. No problem. I jumped out of bed and I went right to the supermarket. I had enough time, but I wanted to be sure. Just in case. I bought a few things for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I always eat at home, I always like to cook, and I said that is a good thing to have 2-3 meals until I get to the restaurant to eat the same thing since a few years: potatoes. I know, it’s hard to be a vegetarian in those days.
-snacks (croissant, biscuits, bagels, bananas)
-sandwich (bread, cheese, tomatoes, olive, salad, cucumber)
– the real stuff (potatoes, cauliflower, burgers, rice, mushroom)
– water and Coca-Cola for burgers
After I got back home, I started to peel the potatoes, to boil the rice, to boil half of the potatoes, to put in oven the other half and to make the cauliflower balls for the burgers. I couldn’t go crazy with sauces and mixes, so, I chose to make mashed potatoes, risotto and vegetarian burgers with crispy potatoes. When I chilled a little bit with the food, I started to pack the clothes, cosmetics and God knows what was going to be through the two luggage and the two backpacks.
First of all, I focused on what I’ll wear in those special places, the places for which I actually left home.
-the dress for “Cetatea Deva”
-the high heels for “Cetatea Deva”
-the earrings for “Cetatea Deva”
-the dress for “Castelul Corvinilor”
-the high heels for “Castelul Corvinilor”
-the earrings for “Castelul Corvinilor”
-the bag for “Castelul Corvinilor”
-the dress for Târgu Jiu
-the boots for Târgu Jiu
-the belt for Târgu Jiu
-the dress for Deva
-the sneakers for Deva
-the belt for Deva
To save space for more food, I chose to wear all the things for Deva on the train. Luckily, they were comfortable. Indeed, is a long list of stuff that I could have reduce it by a T-shirt, a pair of jeans and a pair of sneakers, but I waited all my life for this trip and the compromise was not an option!
The Normal Stuff
– shower gel
– dry shampoo
– brush and depilation cream
– removable disks
– ear sticks
– camera charger
– Phone charger
– laptop charger
– pills, a little bit of all
I put each one in their bag and that was all I had to do.
At 8 p.m. the food still was not ready. I’ve gone above and beyond, and I couldn’t come out. Hardly at 10:30 p.m. I turned off the fire from the stove oven, I put each dish in its tupperware and I let it on the window sill to cool down a little bit.
I had proposed to myself to left from home at 11:00 p.m., not a minute extra. At 10:55 I put the food in the luggage and the iron which was still warm, because at 22:40 I realized that I kinda needed to iron my clothes that were in a bad condition from so many packing and unpacking.
I made the order for a taxi at 11:00 and 3 minutes later I was in front of the block of flats and I put my luggage in the trunk.
At the train station it was chaos! It seemed like everybody was going by train that night. All I wanted in that moment was to have a train compartment with 2 separated seats, not with 4, but I didn’t coordinate my wish with a falling star, on the train being just 4 seats. For 8 hours by train, I prepared myself by the book!
– airplane cushion
– head pillow
– scarf as a blanket
– fluffy socks
I forgot about anything in the world when I saw so many souls around me that were acting like they had entered on a snoring contest. However, I put myself together after I watched something cool on Netflix and I turned on the music in my earphones. I tried to sit comfy, although those two pillows had to compensate at least a 3-star hotel. Anyway, the people in front of me were ok, they were sleeping all the time, one of them even moved in another compartment and made space for stretching our legs.
When I stood perfectly with my head, my legs were numb. When I stood perfectly with my legs, my head was numb. When I was well with all, the earphones were dropping from my ears and I woke up. When I wanted to go to the bathroom, all the toilets were clogged.
8 hours of dream, really.
What I did after I got to Deva Station, with a 30-minute delay, if things went according to the plans from my head, and all the emotions I had, you’ll find them in the following articles. Believe me, I have exceeded the 300 words “imposed” on an article.
